Come and run on the most beautiful beaches that Cape Town has to offer.

At Night

Under the stars…

A beautiful run with a great cause…fundraising for 5 Youth Leadership Programs

Venue: Hout Bay Beach on the beach at Mariners Wharf

Midweek Run – 31 August 2016

Start time: 7pm

Entry fee…R100 for all distances.
1 loop 3km (starts at 7:15pm) or 2 loop 6km (starts promptly at 7pm)

Your entry fee includes a glow stick, handmade medal, bracelet, photo frame, our legendary Made with Love buff and something to eat/drink after the race.

Medal to all finishers

All beach runs are planned around low tide – so you are running on hard compact beach sand

Is it tough? Was anything EVER worth doing, ever easy?

Can you run with shoes or barefoot? 100% your decision. Most people run with tekkies but loads run barefoot.

Our slogan – no shoes, no shirt, no problem…

ON THE DAY ENTRIES are limited to 100 people and cost R100

The route – starts on the beach next to Mariners Wharf and heads out on the beach. A potential river crossing – so your shoes might get wet…whoop whoop…

Its an out and back run – so 360 degree (spectacular views). Start and finish at the same point.

There will NOT be water along the route. It’s a short run so can run with a bottle or camelback/hydration pack. We will NOT have cups or sachets on the route.

The route is pram “push-able” but you will more than likely need a pram with the bigger wheels.

Are dogs welcome – of course – but on a leash! Bring some water along for Fido and a poo bag…if he poops – you scoops.

Are headlamps required…agh you can decide if you want to wear one or not. They not compulsory.

So my entry fee – what is that been used for?

All funds go towards running 5 inter-community youth leadership programs. These will be held in Joe Slovo, Dunoon, Imizamo Yethu, Langa and Nomzamo in Strand. 100 youth will attend all 5 development programs. The theme: Dream Big. Work Bigger.
